Our beginner classes are designed for complete newbies and we’ll teach you everything from scratch in a fun, supportive environment.
Come as you are and get ready to surprise yourself!
SO… HOW DO I START?
There are three easy ways to begin your pole journey at Savage. Pick the one that feels right for you.
OPTION 1. BEGINNER TASTER
Curious about pole but not quite ready to commit? Start here.
If you’ve never tried pole before, come along to one of our Beginner Tasters. Absolutely no experience is required — just bring yourself and have fun!
You'll get a taste of what pole is all about, learn your first beginner moves and spins, and see how you like it.
Loved it? After your taster, you can continue with one of our six-week Intro to Pole courses or join our drop-in beginner classes.
🔥 BONUS: If you decide to join a six-week course after your taster, we'll credit the cost of your taster towards the course fee!

OPTION 2. INTRO TO POLE — SIX-WEEK COURSE
Ready to start your pole journey? Jump straight in!
Our six-week Intro to Pole course takes you through the foundations of pole from the very beginning.
Over six weeks, you'll learn beginner spins, tricks and transitions, start building strength and flexibility, and put everything you've learned together into a short pole routine.
You'll be amazed by how much you can learn in just six weeks!
You'll progress week by week alongside the same group, and absolutely no previous pole or dance experience is required.
Not sure if you're ready to commit? Try a Beginner Taster first.

OPTION 3. PRIVATE LESSONS
Want to start at your own pace?
If you'd feel more comfortable learning one-to-one with an instructor, or you need more flexibility with your schedule, a private lesson could be perfect for you.
You'll have the whole hour with your instructor, so the class can be tailored to you — your pace, your goals and your experience.
Complete beginners are very welcome!
Just drop us an email with your preferred dates and times and we'll take it from there.

Wear shorts and a comfortable top that you can move freely in. We use our skin to grip the pole, so shorts are ideal! Please avoid body lotion or oils on the day of your class as they can make the pole slippery.
-
Not at all! You don’t need any particular level of strength or flexibility to start pole. You’ll build both as you learn - that’s part of the fun!
-
We’ll start with a warm-up, then your instructor will take you through beginner-friendly pole moves and spins step by step. Everything is taught from scratch, so there’s no pressure to know anything beforehand.
-
Absolutely! Lots of our students come to their first class alone. We’re a friendly bunch and your instructor will make sure you feel welcome and comfortable.
-
Nope! Beginner pole classes are done barefoot, so no special shoes are needed. If heels take your fancy later, we have dedicated heels classes you can explore!
-
100%. Trying something new can feel scary, especially pole! Tell your instructor it’s your first time when you arrive and we’ll look after you. You might be surprised how quickly those nerves turn into excitement:)
